He is living legend, an innovator, a forward thinker in the world of Greek Music who has changed what Greek Music we listen to in this country. As a Dj, producer, promoter, radio presenter, TV personality and Greek entertainment entrepreneur, his work is now known around the globe, having headlined Greek festivals, club events and shows both nationally and internationally.
Having now established his own CD Series, Music Label, Events Company & Restaurant/Nightclub, his household name has become synonymous with playing, producing and promoting Greek music and nightlife. This has kept him at the forefront of the Greek entertainment industry in this country for over 15 years now. He is recognized by many today as the most successful & influential Greek-Australian music artist of our time and his contribution to the Greek- Australian community has been enormous.
His career achievements in the industry are truly remarkable. He has become a global name through his vision and talent and has revolutionized the art-form of Greek Djing.
In 1996, He established his own company Krazy Productions. This has become his fulltime music production, distribution, and touring & promotions company for the DJ Krazy Kon brand. In 1998, he became involved in media hosting his own Greek radio show on 89.7fm called “Radio Greko”. This weekly Monday night show ran for 7 years.
Krazy Kon knew there was more out there than just being a great dj and turned his focus onto producing. He joined forces with local Greek-Australian artists Maria Stavropoulos, Nikita Ellenis, Makis Benetatos & James Spy and from 1998-2002 brought out his own brand of locally produced Greek dance music which had never been done before. After producing tracks such as ‘Pos Kanis Esti’, ‘Kounato’, ‘Ano Kato’, ‘Ime Anevasmenos’ & ‘Play Bouzouki remix”, Krazy Kon recently got the opportunity to collaborate with one of Greece’s biggest pop stars Mariada Pieridi. Together they co-wrote & produced international hit club track ‘FANTASIA THELI MONO’. The track was on the airwaves all over Australia, USA and Greece and projected Krazy Kon onto the International Greek music stage as a producer.
In 2003, Krazy Kon became the first ethnic artist in this country to be awarded a 2 year sponsorship by brand giants Pioneer Pro DJ.
In the same year, he became the first ever Greek artist in Australia to be signed to a mainstream record label Rajon Music and from his ideology and creation spanned an iconic ‘GREECE’ CD series which consists of an Annual must have Greek CD. His CD series has commercialized Greek Music in this country and broke all barriers with world music with its availability in all the major mainstream music stores such as Sanity, HMV, Virgin, JB Hi Fi and many more stores.
Since 2003 touring across the country and internationally has become a major part of Krazy Kon’s career. He has made an unbelievable 125+ national appearances in this time with regular shows in
In 2005 he continued his interests in media but this time as a host of the popular national Greek TV Show ‘It’s My Meraki’ which ran for a 13 episode season on Aurora TV on Foxtel & Optus.
Krazy Kon has been chosen as the closing act at the Greek Festival of Sydney for the past 12 years as well as other festivals around
