THE CAREER

Kon Daris a.k.a. DJ Krazy Kon is a Greek-Australian born in Sydney, who has achieved more in the Greek music industry than any other DJ in Australia. In 1994 he branched out to begin working for himself and dedicated his DJ career to Greek music, club work and eventually producing.

Mention the name Dj Krazy Kon now to most young and enthusiastic Greek Australians, and immediately you’ll get a response like … “The most famous Greek DJ of our time” or “I have one of his CDs”

From Dj Krazy Kon’s ideology spanned the most acclaimed mixed Greek CD series of its time. As creator of the series, Greece Series which he mixes “live”, DJ KK captures not only the passion and experience of one of his monster sets, but a whole new excitement about Greek music. He has excited us with over a decade of success & appearances in more than 250 clubs and events across Australia & NZ.

The impact that Krazy Kon has made on what we listen to today in Greek music in astounding. He has been instrumental in leading the Greek DJ and music direction for over a decade.

As a DJ, Krazy Kon has taken Greek Music to a whole new level in this country. His extraordinary talents in djing and producing have made him a household name.  It is a combination of his raw talent and personality that keep him in demand all over Australia and New Zealand.

As a producer, Krazy Kon has become Australia’s highest selling Greek artist of all time. His Greece Series compilations to date have sold a combined total of over 45,000 copies Australia wide with Volume 1 achieving recognition in the ARIA compilation charts in 2003 and catapulting him to superstar status.

As a performer, Krazy Kon has been the headline act to many events across the country and has been the official support act artists such as Anna Vissi, Despina Vandi, Keti Garbi. Dantis, Kokkinou, Rokkos, Alkeos  and more recently Thanos Petrelis just to name a few. With this has come recognition from Pioneer Pro DJ who have sponsored his movements over the last 2 years.

His career achievements as a Greek DJ make him one of a kind in his field. His DJ accreditations along with his personality have made him Australia’s Premier Greek DJ

The “GREECE SERIES” by DJ Krazy Kon is the first ever DJ Compilation Series of its kind outside Greece

His CD series has commercialized Greek Music in this country by being the first Greek CD to break into the Australian music markets. It is available at all major retailers from Sanity, HMV, Leading Edge, Kmart, Myer and many other outlets unlike all other Greek CD’s which you could only buy at a handful of Greek music stores across the country.

His first album hits No. 46 on the ARIA Top 50 compilation charts and is the first ever Greek CD to hit the ARIA charts with over 12500 CDs sold in 4 months.

No Greek artist in Australia travels and promotes his name nd Greek music more than DJ Krazy Kon. He begun touring in 2002.

In the last 3 years alone he has performed interstate and overseas an amazing 42 times.

He plays in every city in Australia on a regular basis including Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin, Perth, Brisbane, Hobart, Canberra, Wollongong and Wellington NZ where he continues to win audiences over with his raw talent.

DJ Krazy Kon is a director of Sydney’s leading Greek events company DANCEBOX ENTERTAINMENT. The company has been instrumental in creating the Sydney Greek Clubbing market and have been promoting events from 1995-2007.

Dancebox holds approximately 25-30 Greek events per year and has been at the forefront of innovarting Greek events at Sydney’s leading Nightclubs.
